Top 5 Holiday Destinations for 'Extroverts'

$

0

If you are a self-proclaimed extrovert — the life and soul of the party, the one person, people come to when they’re looking for a good time, you are probably not going to feel satisfied with a solitary break in the Australian Outback or the Scottish Highlands. But where do you go? Here’s a handy little guide to the best travel destinations for extroverts!

1. Mathura, India.

One of the world’s great festivals, Holi sees India become even more colorful than it already is. While you’ll have fun anywhere, the epicenters are Mathura and Vrindavan. It will be cramped, it will be lively, and you will do irreversible damage anything you are wearing, but it’ll be a whole lot of fun. Get your cheapest white t-shirt on and head out into the cloud of colorful powder which fills every street. Just leave your camera at home or prepare to make a hefty insurance claim.

2. Las Vegas, USA.

There is nowhere on Earth quite like it. It’s not just about blowing your cash in the casinos but you can revel in the extravagant excess of it all. Catch the latest show, shop till you drop, dine in some of the world’s most prestigious celebrity-owned restaurants or party in one of the thumping clubs. Oh, and try to come back a married or a winner!

3. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

A destination that is famously hedonistic year-round but reaches fever pitch during the February Carnival when it explodes into one big riotous street party. This is the largest celebration on Earth. While this is undoubtedly an introvert’s worst nightmare, for the extrovert, there is nowhere quite like it. Score tickets for the extravagant Samba parades, join one of the bloco street parties and drink your body weight in caipirinhas.

4. Tokyo, Japan.

Dizzying, memorizing, confusing – Tokyo is everything you always hoped it would be. Nab a bite to eat in a tiny backstreet sushi joint, drink sake while singing in a karaoke bar with Japanese businessmen, catch the latest Manga flick and try not to be blinded by the extraordinary number of neon lights. This is a place to get lost in a sea of bustling action and truly discover your inner extrovert. If all else fails, grab a seat in the New York Bar (featured in Bill Murray’s “Lost in Translation”) and linger over Japanese whiskeys while you look down at the chaos below.

5. Ibiza, Spain.

There are few places where you can truly let loose and indulge your extrovert self than the party capital of Europe. While the weather is balmy year-round, most head to the Balearic island between spring and summer when it bursts into life. By night, you can hit one of the super clubs like Amnesia or Pacha. By day you can nurse your hangover on one of the magnificent strips of golden sand, float around your hotel pool on lilos or nab a spot on one of the catamaran booze cruises along the rocky Ibizan coastline!

Beautiful Sintra & Cascais Coast Tour Review

After eight days at sea and one day in the Azores, our Disney TransAtlantic Cruise docked in Lisbon, Portugal. Lisbon has such a rich history and so much to see. Our family almost always chooses to visit natural beauty if possible. The Sintra/ Cascais Coast Tour offered scenic stops that seemed to be a perfect match.

Streets of Sintra

The Sintra/ Cascais Coast Tour consisted of three stops. The first stop would be in Sintra, a mountain town and home of the Portuguese summer palace. Next, we would head to the westernmost tip of Europe, Cabo da Roca. Then, our group would stop in the beach resort town of Cascais. Finally, our bus would meander along the Atlantic coast back to our ship.

Sintra

Narrow streets of Sintra
Flowers lining the streets

The old town surrounding the castle is a pleasure to explore. Winding, narrow streets twist up, down and around the hills. Restaurants and shops fill brightly colored buildings. Flowers dangle from eaves and over courtyard walls.

Building adorned in blue tiles

Portugal is known for its hand painted ceramic tiles. These tiles adorn not only courtyards and floors, but also the exterior of many buildings. We stepped into a small shop selling them. We watched while two men painted tiles as we browsed. These were perfect souvenirs and gifts to take back home.

Hand painted tiles

Cabo da Roca

The western edge of Europe

After Sintra, our tour bus wound through the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park to Cabo da Roca. The rocky cliffs of Cabo da Roca extend into the Atlantic Ocean; the westernmost point in Europe.

Cabo da Roca, Portugal

I had seen few photos and read little about Cabo da Roca. Wow! The natural beauty swept us off our feet. I had not envisioned just how stunning it would be. I cannot believe that it is not better known.

My wife and son posing in the wind
The rocky coast at Cabo da Roca

Stepping off our bus, a landscape covered with pretty, yellow flowers greeted us with clear skies and blue ocean beyond. The flowering, ground cover stretched to and dangled over the cliffs. The sheer cliffs revealed brilliant, blue water crashing into the base. I did not expect the rough, ocean water to be so clear and blue!

Lighthouse at Cabo da Roca

Up the north coast was a lighthouse. A cross stood high at the very tip, marking the end of Europe. Wind gusted at about 30 mph/50 kph. The bright sun, clear skies, sheer cliffs, azure seas, white foam, and yellow flowers created one of the most memorable spectacles that I have seen.

Cascais

Cascais, Portugal

Leaving Cabo da Roca, our last stop was at the resort town of Cascais. We passed the fort, interesting architecture, palm trees, and parks with unique sculptures on our way to the beach.

A golden retriever plays in the water

Overlooking the beach, we were treated to a Golden Retriever playing in the waves. A plaza surrounded by unique, brightly colored, Portuguese architecture fronted the beach.

Plaza in Cascais

Cascais is a picturesque setting, but honestly, it could not compare to Sintra or Cabo da Roca.

Empty beach on the Cascais Coast

Our final leg back to the cruise port twisted on the Cascais Coast back to Lisbon. We passed through the resort/casino town of Estoril. Empty beaches stretched for miles.

Lisbon's "Christ the King"

Across the Tagus River, Lisbon’s replica of Rio’s Christ the Redeemer stood tall.

"Sea Discoveries" Monument

We saw the Sea Discoveries Monument, the Tower of Belem, and the Commercio Plaza before reaching our ship. What a great day!

Overview

The Sintra/ Cascais Coast Tour surprised our family. Our teen son proclaimed this to be his favorite port excursion ever. Of all the places we have visited in the Caribbean and Mediterranean, this was tops. He cites the unique and striking use of tile to adorn the buildings, and the overall beauty as the main reasons.

A restaurant clad in tiles

The bus transported us comfortably. Our guide was pleasant and knowledgable. She told of Vasco da Gama standing at Cabo da Roca, staring out to sea and dreaming, and other historical facts.

An overlook in Sintra

The Sintra/ Cascais Coast Tour provided plenty of time to explore. The ride between sites was pleasant and scenic, too.

Lisbon's Commercio Plaza

Our first taste of Portugal impressed us greatly. We are thankful that we chose the Sintra/Cascais Coast Tour. We will never forget it.

- Sydney, NSW, Australia Local Traveling tips

manyjourneysmanystories.com

Talk about Sydney and one won’t miss Bondi beach, its always in the list of travelers exploring Sydney. Not my favorite though, but the atmosphere here is happening somewhat, due to sculpture on stones, college crowd, sea gulls and a nice city beach vibe.

I recently went to Bondi as one of my friends who came on Holidays to Sydney insisted, so decided at the last moment around 3:00 in the evening of Sunday and we drove to Bondi which was around 40 Kms from my place.

I found it very similar to Coogee Beach, both have similar kind of beach line surrounded by urban and European style houses and the beach area is very commercialized.

However, I did like the Graffiti done on the walls, and the reflection of buildings over the accumulated water on Sand and the Sunset.

The artistic Pop art Graffiti Wall

We tried exploring some pubs around as most of the restaurants close at 08:00 PM. The Pub was full of college chicks and boys flirting around, it was interesting to watch these young fellows discovering life in pubs.

All in all it was good vibes for someone looking to find the true amalgamation of Urban and Nature.

Bondi Beach is located 7 km (4 mi) east of the Sydney central business district

How to Reach:

A short trip (clubbed with work) to Tokyo.

Day 1

Flight from Chennai to Malaysia. The stop over was about 18hours so I headed out and explored a bit. Then it was back to the airport and flight to Haneda International. There are multiple buses that drive to the city for 1000Yen. The Japenese Railway and the metro run straight from the airport. The hotel I stayed at was in Shinjuku, Hotel Sunroute Higashi.

Day 2

Today, I checked out Akihabara. The hotel was right next to the metro station. It is definitely advisable to take a good look at the train routes on the map. Even though it may seem complicated, it is quite simple and the trains can take you anywhere. Akihabara is a beautiful place. Walking around is the best way to explore the place. If you love manga, anime or you collect cards such as Pokemon cards, this is your place. I visited one of the maid cafes, which is a unique definitely experience I would recommend.

Walking down the streets at night is a lot of fun especially since the lights of the billboards against the tall buildings make the city look so beautiful.  It does keep raining throughout the day so it is best to buy an umbrella. You can get the typical transparent one for 200Yen from a local store.

After roaming around and buying a bunch of things, I headed back to the hotel at Shinjuku. At night, walking for about ten minutes from the hotel was enough to find many restaurants (Indian ones too). Although vegetarian food is not readily available on the menu, the people are very understanding of the concept and cook dishes vegetarian for you. I found this very helpful throughout the trip.

DAY3

Spent the day at work. At night, spent time exploring more of Shinjuku.

DAY 4

Post work, headed out for a drive to see Roppongi Hills and Shibuya. Paid respects at the infamous Hachiko statue and explored the streets of Shibuya. The cross roads at Shibuya metro station is an iconic location in Tokyo. Watching it from the first floor of the station will give you a beautiful view of the same. After roaming around more, I found my way back to the hotel.

Day 5

Checked out and got on a flight back to Malaysia where I got to stop over and headed out again. And then it was back to Chennai.

Japan is generally an expensive place. Food for vegetarians is hard but not impossible. Tully's and 7/11s have many food options that are veg. It is definitely worth spending the night outside. Always carry an umbrella for you never know when it is going to rain. Try to save money on travel and use the trains. The vending machines at the Akihabara station and food vending machines throughout the city will surely poke a large hole in your pocket.

Cheers.

Trip to Kenya/Maasai Mara

DAY 1

The whole day was essentially being crammed in a car in traffic (thank you Bangalore) and then on tw0 flights. But when the destination is Sarova Stanley, then there is no room for any complaints. The hotel is gorgeous and has all the amenities you can think of. There are three restaurants and an exchange bar. The staff are very sweet and helpful. Spent the day exploring the hotel and the beautiful room.

(Yes, the hotel is an experience by itself)

DAY 2

Checked out and headed straight to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. The drive there is great, you get to see the city end and the grasslands begin. There are many small shops on the side of the road where you can stop to buy or window shop. The Maasai paintings and animal carvings are definitely worth buying back.

I was lucky enough to catch two cheetahs chase a couple of wildebeats right at the entrance of the Reserve. And the rest of the drive t0 the hotel, Mara Keekorok Lodge. The lodge is located at the heart of the reserve with no barricades or walls. It was so exciting to know that I could wake up in the morning and on the other side of the glass door could be a giraffe, a zebra or god forbid, a lion.

After checking in and having a great lunch, we headed into game reserve. I got to see so many zebras, giraffes, a whole wide range of birds, and a lioness. The night was pleasant, and the food spread at the lodge is truly great. Vegetarians will have no issue at all. There are tons of options.(They serve Indian food too!)

DAY 3

Morning, post breakfast, we head back into the game reserve for the second time. This time we were lucky enough to spot a lioness with her cubs. This was surely the highlight for I have not seen anything cuter than those little cubs trying to climb on top of their mother but failing hence falling down. The ride through the reserve itself is so refreshing for all you can see for miles and miles are vast grasslands. And here and there you can see groups of zebras and wildebeasts grazing and sometimes even a tower of giraffes.

After returning from the drive, I decided to head out for a bit and visit the Maasai Tribal Village. This part was very touching as they explained to us how they live as one with the wildlife and how they are trying to educate their children to speak English in order to improve the conditions they live in. The chief of the tribe was kind enough to let me dress up in their attire and the tribe performed their dance. Allowing the kids to take photographs and spending time with them really gets you thinking. But this is not something that would be a "must check out", if you would like to visit, do buy some candy or just something for the kids.

Taking leave from the people of the tribe and saying good bye to the little ones, I headed back to the lodge. In the evening, we headed out to the reserve one last time and got to watch the sun set over the grasslands. I have seen many sunsets, over various terrains, but I have to tell you, being able to see so much of the sky and the grass reflect the colors of the sunset, it is something else. This time around we got to see two gazelle's fight for their territory. On our way back we spotted a cheetah on top a tree, lazing on a branch and that marked the end of my wildlife hunt. Returned back to the lodge, and enjoyed the fact that I was sleeping in the middle of the reserve. They also had a pond nearby which we were allowed to walk to and there were hippos there. You can spot them from the boardwalk extending from the lodge.

DAY 4

After checking out, headed back to Nairobi and checked back into Savara Stanley. Spent the day looking around Nairobi. It is a very beautiful city. Their government building are all down one road which is heavily guarded and you're not allowed to click pictures, but it is a sight for the eyes.

You can head to the Nairobi Park where you can see the city skyline. There is a market place near the park where I got to shop for very beautiful things.

Then, it was back to the hotel and continue enjoying the gradeur of it.

DAY 5

Head to the airport and bid a final goodbye to the beautiful city of Nairobi.

Here are some of the other animals I got to see. Also, all photographs are clicked by me, Varsha Suresh and are not for any commercial use.

Recently, in order to spend some quality time together on the occasion of our sixth wedding anniversary, we decided to visit our favourite hill station near Mumbai, Matheran.

We stayed at the most beautiful heritage property (almost 170 years old) at Matheran, Dune Barr House (also popularly known as "Verandah in the Forest"). One thing is for sure, with old colonial architecture, coloured glass windows, antique wooden furniture and numerous artefacts, the Barr House is the most Insta-Worthy Property at Matheran.

Colombia’s Liquid Rainbow: River That Ran Away From Paradise

Dubbed the “River of Five Colors” and “Liquid Rainbow”, the Caño Cristales river in Colombia’s La Macarena is famous for bursting with amazing colors of rainbow. The clear water of the magical river reflect green, yellow, red, and purple colors flowing down. According to Insider, what colors the river takes depends on the water conditions and light.

Owing to its unprecedented beauty, Caño Cristales is referred as the “river of five colors,” “the river that ran away from paradise,” and “the most beautiful river in the world.”

Secret Behind The Unique Biological Wonder?

(c) BBC

It’s no magic! According to reports, the colors in the river are because of a plant called macarenia clavigera. The particular aquatic plant gives the river vibrant hues. The unique plant is itself very beautiful and is highly sensitive to its environmental conditions. On bright, sunny days, the river looks most magnificent as light reflects colors vividly.

In order to thrive, the plant needs specific water level or else it dies and turns brown when the level is so high that the river bottom is not visible.

Best Time To Visit

The best time to visit is between July and November when the colors are at their peak vibrancy. The colourful rainbow river certainly offers excellent photo opportunity and if you want to feel more thrill, you can also go swimming in certain parts. In order to protect the plants, the maximum limit of swimmers per day has been restricted to 200 people per day.

Getting There

(c) BBC

To get to the river, you have to fly into Villavicencio which is located in central Colombia. You then have to charter another plane to La Macarena where a guide will take you to the mountain range -Serrania de la Macarena.

Next time you plan a trip to South America, do not forget to capture this Columbia’s most spectacular nature wonder. Get ready to add some colors to your Instagram feed to get more hits.

Travelling from A to B in a major city like Mumbai is a herculean task and all of us are very much aware about it. What if we say that now you are only an app away from flying on a heli taxi to Pune, and that too merely in 35 minutes or so. The heli taxis are also set to reach Shirdi the famous pilgrimage centre near to Pune. Fly Blade, an US based air firm is all set to expand its air service outside of US for the first time.

"India's major cities are consistently ranked as the most congested in the world," Rob Wiesenthal, Blade CEO, said in a press release recently in the city. He also told that “By broadening access to on-demand aviation, we can start to mitigate these issues today, while building the foundation for eVTOL services tomorrow.”

Hunch Ventures’ founder, Karanpal Singh, said his company had made a long-term investment in the alliance and also the challenges of building transportation infrastructure in our country, we will utilize India’s existing network of heliports to launch an urban air mobility solution immediately,” he said.

Fly Blade :

Founded in May 2014, by Rob Weisenthal, the company launched a service between Manhattan and the Hamptons in 2014.

BLADE allows users to create their own crowd sourced flights or purchase seats on pre-existing flights between Manhattan, the Hamptons, Nantucket, the Jersey Shore, Miami and all NYC surrounding airports.

BLADE's mobile platform bridges the needs of consumers and aviation operators to reduce the cost of air travel on private aircraft by maximizing passenger capacity utilization.

Joint venture :

The joint venture will be called Blade India. It will be headed by Amar Abrol, who was serving as the head of AirAsia India till May this year. Blade India, the joint venture of Fly Blade from US and Hunch ventures in India has announced that it will connect the Indian city of Mumbai with heliports in Juhu and Mahalakshmi to pune and further to Shirdi also by coming March 2019.

About the App :

The app comes with a signature line as follows:

BLADE is bringing precision and style back to aviation.

Where every flight is an unforgettable experience.

Passengers wanting to use the Blade service must download the app to their iOS or Android phone and enter credit card details. When a passenger wants to fly, they choose either an existing flight to join at a time that works for them or crowd source their own flight at a more convenient time.

Cost:

In the United States, seats on a Blade flight's six-capacity helicopter ride between JFK International Airport and Manhattan can be bought for around $200.

The cost of the heli ticket is yet to be confirmed and as per the sources the fare will be much lesser than the chartered flights and will be easy on your pockets.

Varsha travels to Ile Maurice

DAY 1

Flew into Mauritius today. You'd think April would be a very hot time to visit an island, but the weather was beautiful. Warm and just sunny enough to make the water look a deep blue and the sand shine as though there were pockets of gold. On landing, I headed straight to the Tarisa Resort, my home for the next seven days to come. It is a pretty hotel with all amenities that one requires and very hospitable staff. It has three restaurants within, one bar right beside their pool. If you're traveling from India you be will happy to know that one of the three serve tasty Indian food.

DAY 2

Well rested, I left for a day out to see Nothern Mauritius. This includes the capital, Port Louis and the great botanical gardens, called the Pamplemousses Garden, which I found out is home to large pond lily leaves. The Government House, The Municipal Theatre and the Palm DÁrmes are some beautiful French influenced places to visit besides the Gardens. The lively covered market offers an insight into the fascinating cross-section of Mauritian life. Pamplemousses houses hundreds of different species of plants and a lot of them are palms. Of particular interest are the giant water Lilies locally known as 'Flan Tins', said to flower once every 60 years after which they die.

DAY 3

Decided to take the day off to enjoy the beach and the clear blue sea right next to my hotel. Spent quite some time at the local market. Also got to see the ship in a bottle museum which was very grand. It is definitely worth spending a day at lesuire for you never know what might be close to your place of stay. This tip has always worked wonders for me, wherever I travel.

Kicked back with a nice book and some sandwiches that my hotel was kind enough to pack for me. Oh, you must know, drinking water will cost you the most out there. You need to buy bottled water wherever you go and ensure that you always have them on you. The tap water is generally salty and I would advise against drinking that if you can help it. The bottled water will cost you about 60 bucks a piece.

Also, for all local travels I used the bus. It is very quick, cheap and easy to follow.

DAY 4

Today was the most exciting day. Traveled to see Trou d`Eau Douce and transfered by boat to 'Ile aux Cerfs Islands. This is perhaps the most beautiful part of Mauritius. The boat ride was already booked. The hotel offers rides too. I had never seen these many shades of blue in a water body. Felt like I dived right into a Bob Ross painting. The islands are very close to each other and you can waddle through the water to walk from one to another. The main island has a restaurant and small shops. The food is wonderful there, infact the best I had at Mauritius. And in an unexpected turn of events, on the way back the boat took couple of us quite off shore and I got the once in a life time opportunity of swimming with wild dolphins. It was breathtaking literally and figuratively(They allow you to get out only if you know swimming). The trip to this place was all about siting on the shore and letting my brain absorb all the colors I saw. Then, it was time to head back to the hotel and jump into the pool.

DAY 5

The plan was to alternate my days with a fixed plan and place and the other with just a general idea of what I wanted to do. And today, I continued to check out local markets. And found myself back at Port Louis, exploring it a bit more. Stopped by a mall too, it was quite nice. I also decided to check out the big cat interaction that was available at the Casela Park. You get to touch and pose with lions and cheetahs. They do treat the animals well but it is still a large invasion of their peace of mind and privacy. You can also do the Lion Walk where you're on a segway through the park and the lions simply walk next to you. (no cages, no bars)

DAY6

Today, I visited many places that are star attractions of Mauritius. The seven colored Earth or Chamarel, was quite lovely. I could actually see the various colors of the volcanic ash. There is an old volcano closeby that has become a santuary as volcanic ash is known to be a very fertile. Next on the list was Grand Baie. Tried parasailing for the first time, it was totally at par with the hype surrounding the sport. The area also has a lot of markets and stores. And once all this was done, it was back to the hotel and pack to head back to less temporary home.

DAY 7

Spent all morning baking to a crisp on the beach before I jumped into a cab that will take far from Mauritius. It was a lovely trip. The people of Mauritius are calm, soft spoked and very nice. The towns and buildings are beautiful. For a person who is not a big fan of beaches, Mauritius is one place I did not mind one bit.

This hamlet in West Bengal is a perfect getaway to experience the most gorgeous snowfall ever!

Beautiful virgin forests, snow-clad mountains and scenic views all around you. If this sounds like a description of some beautiful town in North India, then you are in for a surprise. While very few places are known for experiencing snowfall in India apart from the North, tourists wanting to escape the crowds will be thrilled to know about this hamlet in West Bengal.

Where?

Lava, in West Bengal is located on the foothills of the Himalayas at an altitude of 7000 ft. Situated at a distance of approx. 34 km. from Kalimpong, it is one of the very places in West Bengal to receive snowfall.

A heaven for nature lovers, it is known to be more of a destination to relax and experience utmost calmness than a tourist attraction.

Sunset view of Kanchenjunga

With views of the mighty Kanchenjunga, this offbeat destination offers a chance to catch some breathtaking scenic views. You can see the other nearby snow peaks such as Mt Siniolchu, Jelep La Pass, and Rechila Pass as well.

It is also known as a gateway to the Neora Valley National Park which is bordered between Sikkim and Bhutan. This also makes it a delight for bird watchers and adventure enthusiasts. From scenic treks to rare orchards and a valley filled with greenery, Lava will amaze you with its beauty.

Things to do

Lava Monastery

While trekking and watching the beautiful sunrise over the peaks of Kanchenjunga are the most popular things to do here, it also has a list of attractions which should not be missed while on your visit here. The famous Lava Monastery situated besides the Neora Reservoir lake is a famous tourist attraction for its architecture and beauty. The Rachela Pass, Rimbik, Samthar plateau and Rishop are popular for their trekking routes which take you through exotic forests and snowy mountains.

The Neora Valley National Park is an offbeat attraction with many unexplored routes and forests so thick that in most areas sunlight also cannot pass through. The best way to explore this small town is by pitching a tent along the hill side and enjoying the sunset.

Best time to visit

Although October-April is an ideal time to visit Lava, to witness the snowfall December-January would be perfect.

Accommodation

There are limited options for stay. However, Hotel Orchid and Dreamland Lava are amongst the few popular ones in the area. The tariff in most places can be from 900-1700 per night on twin sharing.

How to reach

By Air: The nearest airport is at Bagdogra (115 km.) and Sikkim (113 km.) which are well connected to all major metros in India.

By Train: The nearest railway stations are in New Jalpaiguri (105 km.) and Siliguri (100 km.) which are connected with trains from all major cities and operate daily or bi-weekly.

By Road: From Siliguri (100 km.) via NH-31 you can easily reach Kalimpong which is close to Lava(34 km.)

Just 300Km From Delhi, This Gorgeous Retreat Would Redefine Your Weekend Goals

As a traveller, I often plan my trips after considering how crowd-free a place would be. Don't get me wrong; I am neither a misanthrope nor a recluse but sometimes, the constant chitter-chatter gets too draining and travelling to a tranquil place always helps.

If your routine is robbing you of life's joys, you should definitely consider escaping to Shervani Hilltop, Nainital, a gorgeous boutique hotel nestled amidst verdant mountains.

Hedakhan Temple : Ranikhet

Ashiana Park, very popular picnic spot for Ranikhet children, but at that time and five or six o'clock in the evening there are no children there do not appear, just raise two children, she is the second city, the beauty of the park It was said, or two children, that they were making the park "park" and they were two children, cheerful and pie!

This place is in the lower part of the city and our hotel was in the upper part, it seems like something strange! As such, Ashes Park is on the government bus stand in Ranikhet and our hotel was on the private bus stand! It's fine now ! So now we have to make a slight uphill climb to reach our hotel, but due to fatigue, this light climb seemed heavy!

Drink tea, fine C! Black pepper and long put ginger! Make the brother two tea! Eat food at your own hotel! By seven o'clock we had entered the blanket of the hotel's own room; at 8 o'clock a call was made, the cold was not going to dare, to get out! Hunger is hungry, let's go!

There was a huge mess in this trip! I so that the cold would not much was thinking was taking its very slight half-jacket and creeper (my wife) were simply hot suit, or going on to say that I was the force that's it take to whereto Increasing weight? Children were also only for winter clothes, but when the cold felt, I had to take warm clothes for the children, myself and the Wife again and my budget reached a lot! Well the clothes are there, the work will come!

The next morning i.e. our program on November 3 was the first to go to the UPAT Golf Course! At 8 o'clock he got out of bed, he too, of Lata, my mouth always comes out of bed after the creeper and after both of my children! It's 9 o'clock! There is no point in bathing in this cold, the mouth is silent and the comb in the hair has become, Babu ji !!

Now you have to go down again, that's the government bus stand! There are jeeps to go downstairs and they throw the jeep on the golf course, or you book your car and take it, 250-300 rupees! Shared Jeep came back from 15 per ride in and around 10 rupees come in per ride, ie upat golf course then took a total of up to 50 rupees, why go to spent Rs 250? Is a crazy dog bitten?

A great-headed road has been made and goes further by going through this path to Karnprayag, a single road gets out on the right hand for the work! There is no establishment of the Kumaun Regiment all the way! feels good ! We were hoping that somebody will be playing golf while playing golf course, but no one is playing here, yes the cow is definitely going on and one child is playing badminton with his parents! Children also began to beat, surrounded by long pine trees, this golf course really looks beautiful! Some of the Trishul Peak pots are also here to squeeze and walk back! The whole case of a two-hour-old children's fun is here! Keep roaming in the entire field, keep getting up! Which children are to wash clothes, their mother Zindabad !! Mother was alive, she is alive and will stay alive!

Although breakfast was only eaten by Ranikhet but now hungry too! Let's go back! Now the headquarter will run in the temple, and then there is a mess, now we will have to come down from the top! Because the Jeep Pravate bus stand meets for the Hemkhan temple! Walk on foot, what can you do? There will be neither auto rickshaw nor bicycle rickshaw! Feet have to be smoothed! Come on, my brother !!

The nearby Hemkhan temple, it is difficult to get 6 -7 km from Ranikhet! The name of the village in which the village of Hedakhhan is located is strange "bird nalla"! These birds may have been draining that the changing changing bird would have been navigated! And why should the bird be drained? Perhaps no sewer and which will be a tree near the river bird will Chchati, if someone would have told, that place will tell -cidia a broomstick and take the live bird brook or bird Naula !! By the way, names of places in India are also found similar to this, the filthy creek, wide drain, the asshole, the screech bawl, the slant hut! Jeep is available from the private bus stand for the Hedakkhana temple, where the Jeep will release you, there is the headquarter temple near it!

It is definitely out of the village but it is good, there is a guest house of Kumaun Vikas Nigam in front of this temple, probably by the name of "Himadri"! State Bank of India has an ATM outside the temple, which is in great condition! The temple is as it is, but the bungalows near the temple are very beautiful! This temple is dedicated to Baba Hadkhar Khan, who was living here and had a severe penance in his youth. I do not know much about them! If you get to know, then you will share, and yes, now you throw away the foam, then come out, there is a restaurant in front of you, you will eat! Drink will mean tea! Two-and-a-half English people are also seen, two men two women! Which means those people are also interested in Baba Headkhaan? Or are you walking around to enjoy the simple nature? Let's go live, tomorrow will meet you again !!

Patwon ki Haveli : Jaisalmer

After seeing Jaisalmer Fort, now we had the idea of seeing the famous Havelis of Jaisalmer, it was evening or I could say that the night had come! You will not see much, but you will definitely see the "Patwa Haveli"! Today is your time! Apart from the Patwa Haveli in Jaisalmer, the mansion of Salim Singh's mansion and Nathalhamal's mansion are also worth seeing !! Salim Singh's mansion will also go, but at the moment, we will see only Patwa Haveli for the moment! Seven o'clock or something less than that, six will be six! Gazing from the streets of Jaisalmer, seeing the magnificent walls, seeing the havelis finally reached the Patwa mansion! Marriage rituals are displayed in very beautiful form on the walls of Jaisalmer's houses! Laxmi-Ganesh ji's idol is written by the name of Var-Vadhoo! Looks attractive! And yes, date of marriage ceremony is also written! You will see the photo ahead!

Patwa Haveli:

Haveli! You know well! But one thing is not to know that the mansion is not Hindi word! Haveli is a word from Arab, which means "private house"! And these words are very prevalent in the mansion, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh! Most of the havelis in India are found in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Punjab! I am not talking about new bungalows, I am referring to the havelis that used to be the residence of kings before Independence! In many cities of Rajasthan, there are spectacular mansions like Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer! And in Jaisalmer, "Pataon Ki Haveli" is considered as Jaisalmer's biggest mansion! This is not really a mansion but it is made up of five havelis, in which the first "Kothari Ki Patwa Haveli" is the most attractive and famous! Secondly, this mansion is Jaisalmer's first mansion that was built by Guamand Chand Patwa in 1805! Guam ji was rich and he made havelis for his five sons, which took 50 years to complete! There were many types of locks and Rajasthani turbans in this mansion! The walls of this mansion give proof of being monarchy! Want to hear the whole story? How did the Kothari name get attached with Patwa Haveli? Let's say:

Had the Patwa family struggled to run their business in the beginning of the 18th century, then a Jain monk left Jaisalmer and went somewhere else to advise him to do his business! The Patwa family started consulting opinion in this matter and the days passed, during which business started to grow and their business started growing very fast! When money came, Guam Chand Patwa made different havelis for his five sons, but says, "Every day does not happen together". The business started to deteriorate again and it came to the conclusion that Guman Chand had to leave Jaisalmer and the hawlies gave somebody else to look after him! In time, the "care taker" became the owner of the havelis and sold the first and the most luxurious mansion to any "Kothari" Saab! So this mansion now became Kothari's Patwa Haveli !!

Today is the 27th of January's bosses and the cold is very much! Do not go anywhere else today! Yes, this mansion is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. We must have reached at about six in the past six o'clock, there were some people ahead of us! But behind us, the "care taker" was going to shut down the mansion, the room we saw, stopped it! There is a ticket of 30 rupees and a camera is also a ticket, I can not remember how much it is, 20 or 25, maybe 30, but not more than 30! Memory has started to weaken, but the hair of beard has started becoming white again! That too! If you look at the photo, eat almonds, the memory will remain, otherwise I have forgotten the price of the ticket, I forgot the wife some day ... ... in such a round, she is no longer feeding almonds. .. ..... :)

Kausani : A well known hill station

From Hedakhan Temple, we returned from the temple and reached the hotel again, picked up the luggage and went on the roadways bus stand again! Keep going around here, sometimes go downwards, ever come upwards! There was no bus for Kausani at that time so someone told that go someshwar from here, but even Someshwar did not come just jeep! In a while came a jeep and said - where will you go? Someshwar! Someshwar is not but you will leave Binta, you will get someshwar jeep from there! Running brother! There was a fair in Binta, the small road and fair on both sides, like the jeep was released! As soon as Jeep descended, Someshwar's Jeep was in front! It was at 4 o'clock! One goes by way of Someshwar for a hat and also for a Badhnath Dham! There is a whole series of temples in Badhnath, I have never seen, will definitely take it! At around 7 o'clock in the evening we were in the Anasakshi Ashram of Kausani, that is the Anashakti Ashram where Gandhiji stayed for the Himalayas philosophy! One rupee of 400 rupees a day, it will be free to play before, now it is not! Now you have to pay rent! The main market of Kausani, the same market is the same market and call it something else! So the stairs on the up side of the round circle are going on, just go straight, Anashakti will get the ashram! There was more cold than Ranikhet here! But now we have hot clothes, no problem!

Old-fashioned rooms are made of wood! Yes, the washrooms are of Western style! Tea was given, and it was told that if you want to eat food, then it will be 9 o'clock in the restaurant! The food is very simple but very tasty! When all the people sat in the line then it was discovered that other people besides us were staying at this ashram! Dal rice vegetable bread! Nothing different but very nice! The man who was a man a while back, he was serving food now! Multi Talented !! Let's go, now sleep!

At 6 o'clock in the morning, the door was knocked down, came to give tea! He took two tea and told him to bring four tea again at eight o'clock and after drinking tea, he fell asleep again! Tired children were also sleeping, the phone shake! Sir - the college did not just come? Madam I am in Kausani! Sleep got worse! By 9 o'clock all the breakfast was ready and breakfast was over, let's do it out!

One of Kausani's things seemed strange, half of it is in Almora district and half of it falls in Bageshwar district! If you are in Anashakti ashram then you get to see a very beautiful sight of Bageshwar at night !!

First of all, the great poet of Hindi, Sumitra Nandan, visits the house of Pantji, is nearby! In Kausani, everything is nearby! After that go to see the tea plantation, we will see the tea plantations for the first time! Well, I did not understand that there are all kinds of gardens such as apple garden, mango gardens, tea garden, why are they called gardens? Will tell! The car is asking for 400 rupees, if the shared jeep does not go, or it will happen then we do not know! After all, it was talked about 250 rupees! We have to return to Ghaziabad today! Seeing the plantation will pick up the goods and make the move! Children's health is disturbed, otherwise our reservation is from Kathgodam on 6th November and today it is 4th November! Reservations cancel! The care of the children is first, the matter of money later! But in this trip I had made reservations on both sides, the railway did not confirm it from here and we canceled it from there! settle accounts ! Come on, go back to Ghaziabad !!

Sonar Fort : Jaisalmer

The story of the hotel has spoiled the mind, but the end is good! Some agreements have to be done in life too and I think it is necessary to get happiness that you keep yourself out of the "jungle of problems" when you get an opportunity! Like in the field of cricket, you are in the circle of thirty yards, then fours are hit by sixes and as soon as you get out of the circle, meaning you go out of the circle, then you make a good effort to stop the ball going towards the boundary and you They take the ball before the boundary line too! I mean to say that there is so much that any thing - with you, can not be greater than your identity, and if you are there then there are problems and for the problems, then we all have to try for their diagnosis! Much more then the preaching? Well written like this, it did not write! Actually the mood has become like this! Today, we have the last day of final year of Mechanical Engineering, so all of them came to write "Shubhakamna Message" on my shirt, gave him the last discourse, so much difficulty, do not give up! And the same rhythm came in writing too! Let me tell you that I was the only one who wrote good wishes in Hindi :-) This shirt will be kept by the children for a comfortable hand!

Evening evening, Suhani evening! On the land of Jaisalmer, not sandy, my country, the last land of my land, after which Pakistan starts about 200 kilometers (some places are even closer). Jaisalmer was in the brain since 1998, when Sunny Deol's Border film came in and even today, remember that as seen in Mathura's Rama Cinema Hall, the first day! Oye, you are a slave, not ........ ..... the famous punk of Lahore :-) !! Although the battlefield is far from here, Longwala and Tanot! We are in Jaisalmer today and want to visit Jaisalmer Fort, which is called Sonar Fort, also called Golden Fort!

Jaisalmer Fort is included in the World Heritage and is one of the world's largest protected forts! Jaisalmer Fort was built by Rajput King Raval Jaisal in 1156 AD and from that the name of this city was also Jaisalmer! And you can see that the whole Jaisalmer city is all around this fort. At the height of 30 meters from Jaisalmer's land, this Fort and this city built on the hills of Trikuta used to be a stay point for the traders of "Silk Route" in the olden times! The stone of this fort is such that when it rises on the sun's rays, its color starts to shine like gold, that is why this fort is called "Sonar Fort" or Golden Fort! This fort was built with three-tier security walls! But in spite of all this, Alauddin Khilji conquered this in the 13th century and kept him in possession for nearly nine years! After that, Humayun and Akbar also established their kingdom on this and finally Raval had to save his fort by having his daughter married with Akbar! Although it was Rawal, but the real ownership remained of the Mughals and remained in control of the Mughals until 1762, then Maharajal Mulraj took control of it! And then in the year 1820, Gaj Singh, the native of Mulraj, took over the fort. If you are in Jaisalmer, you will find pictures of Maharajal Gaj Singh in many places and in the shops and restaurants!

Within this fort there are seven Jain temples, along with Lakshminarayan temple. This fort of five floors has been decorated with best decorated and the stone and the stone that has been installed in the windows is a sight! We went to the evening and by the time the sun had gone back, we will try to go in time of day, because then you will see its outer walls flashing like gold, although the fort is open from 9 am to 10 pm! You walk comfortably on foot, going towards Hanuman Circle, towards the market, old havillas will also be seen! But yes, the ticket seems to be, but how much it is, do not remember now! Yes, something expensive is probably 100 rupees! So plan to go and see my photos by then:

Many times I had planned the Jaipur but the rain washed all! By spending time like this on the Jal Mahal, there was no longer much time left to see that something else could be seen! Five were ringing and today is January 26, meaning it is cold! Now it can be that Planetarium go! Perhaps the name of Nehru constellation is its! I had seen almost 20 years ago, then used to show the whole universe here and it seemed like how far away Neptune and Uranus are, which planet we are near, they did! Now I try to find my childhood in childhood as a childhood! Auto taken from Jal Mahal and let it go! 150 rupees! Reached! The last show is 10 minutes to start right now, till then take photographs of the great achievements of Indian Space Research (ISRO)! Looks like your country is moving ahead! But there are some Namrads who want to make this holy land of Lord Ram and Krishna crucified! Well, our army is so capable that it can destroy these "huram"! It's time to go inside! There is a ticket of Rs. 50 and there is no discount for the children here, it took a total of 200 rupees! You can go to the camera but can not make photos or videos! On Mars, the journey of India's Yan, which was less than Auto, reached Mangal in the cost of Rs 7 per km! I did not enjoy the truth!

When the canteens came out, the hoardings were seen there! Hey, "Tarak Mehta" is coming here today, Shailesh Lodha! For those who do not know Shailesh Lodha, tell them that Shailesh Lodha is a well-known poet and actor too! The role of Tarak Mehta in the SAB TV program "Tarak Mehta's Ulta Chashma"! Now he is coming, then see! Here is the "Poet Sammelan" in the celebration of Republic Day where in addition to Shailesh, Pawan Agri and some other unknown people are coming face to face! Reached! There were two advantages, one survived the rain and the other got some relief in fatigue too! It was to start at 7 o'clock, there were formalities! Shailesh did not come, the flight is late but now we do not want to lie down! Eat food and then have to leave the station! Today, Jaisalmer is going to Jaisalmer by night!

Jaisalmer's train arrived at a delay of two hours in the night, arriving at his seat from sleepy again, it became a velvet and the eye opened around Jodhpur! Then came Pokhran, brought something to eat! When Pokharan came out, a man came! Talking that the hotel was booked! The card was given and the room's rent was 400 rupees! I did not have the idea that in Jaisalmer the "peak season" would get a cheap room! No one, take it! Just read more carefully! Jaisalmer got down, we got the car, the same man! The number had told us already! Hotel in 10 minutes! When I entered the office to enter, there was a fat man sitting there! Do not make anybody sir! First you are fresh! My brother! Reached in the room-got the water! Be fresh! More than an hour passed, let's do the entry now! Reached office! Entry done! Sir you give 800 rupees! What's the matter? 400 was talked to me! I did not do that - talk to him as it happened! You stayed in the room with 800! Now here he was not a man, what would he do? OK brother, I'll take another hotel! Then you have to give 200 rupees! What about this? You've used our bathroom! very nice !! So it was this thing that the man started searching for "cock" from Pokhran! After all, the matter was made in 600 rupees! And this hotel was "Emperor Hotel"! If you ever visit Jaisalmer, you will take care! At least you, like me, fall in such a slip, just wanted to tell it!

Jaisalmer has reached and now will wash the bath and walk to see "Sonar Fort" but will talk about it in the next post! Let's go see some photos of Jaipur and Jaisalmer:

Jal Mahal & Jantar Mantar : Jaipur

Elephants did not meet! Not even got to meet! It was raining and found in this or elephant? From Ammer, Amar Sagar reached, Rajat Sharma told him that there is a less explored place here! But I did not like! Go back to the palace palace! Armed back to Aamer and reached Jal Mahal! For the first time, it was found that in Rajasthan, that means, in Rajasthan, women get a discount in bus ticket prices! Maybe 20 percent! The rain has stopped but the clouds are repeatedly announcing that we can never threaten, do not waste much time!

Today, after 20 years, I have come here and there has been a lot of change in then and today! Earlier there was no boundary wall and it was easy to go on the edge but now there are lots of restrictions and lots of food and drink shops have been taken around! The picnic spot is now! The typical feature of this palace is that it does not look hot in this palace in the midst of the desert, because many of its floors are made inside the water. The beautiful view of the mountain and lake can also be seen from this palace. The sight of this palace is very attractive in lake water in the moonlight night. Jal Mahal is now also evolving in the form of bird sanctuary. More than 1 lakh trees are engaged in the nursery of Jal Mahal. 40 day-day gardeners are engaged in plant care. This nursery is the tallest nursery in Rajasthan. There are thousands of variations of Aravali plant, ornamental plant, shirb, hedge and crimp. The 150 years old trees have been transplanted and given new life. Here every year show plant like Day Palm, China Palm and Bunganbelia is transplanted!

Situated in the middle of Manasagar lake on Jaipur-Aamer road, this palace was built by Sawai Jai Singh for bathing with his queens and pundits after Ashwamedh Yagna. Prior to the construction of this palace, Jai Singh constructed a dam on the pregnant river for the water supply of Jaipur and constructed the Mansaragar Lake. It was built in 1799. The help of boats prepared from Rajput style was taken for its construction. The king used to use this palace with his queen to spend a lot of time. They used it on majestic festivals too.

History is gone, what else remains? Nothing is possible, because it does not allow it to go in, if too big people will go, who will let us go? We are neither ordinary nor ordinary people! Now Jantar Mantar is going on, but the rain has made the mind of a tremendous revenge! This is the day of 26th January and after the dawn, what condition would have happened, you can understand yourself! So sitting in a bus in the same condition and before going to Jantar Mantar, a tea went into a pakoda shop, the excuse was tea, but in reality children's clothes were to change! Yen Kane has gone to Jantar Mantar and now you see the water palace and the Jantar Mantar photo till now! Well, such places like Jantar Mantar provide us an opportunity to be proud of being Indians and Hindus, how many of our ancestors were discovered and discovered but for some reason they could not find that place in the history of which they were worthy! The eldest son, Harshit, had gathered information of Jantar Mantar before going to Jaipur and in his mind was the ghost of watching "the world's biggest sun dial"! Do not give anything to the smallest of all these things, for that, that is the truth which his brother said! Mother-father Madam may be wrong but big brother can not be wrong! Pitt himself but he can not let the elder brother win, yes, if he wins himself, then he will do it !! So if you are in Jaipur and your small children are together then go definitely to Jantar Mantar and yes, just go a little bit because these small children ask a lot of questions (like it) !! So live, here in Jaisalmer going:

Amber Fort : Jaipur

The idea was to see what is nearby, and then to see the distance from the city of Jaipur, but the rain made all the difference! So thought that now the "Aamer Fort" goes! It will be found here only near the temple of Hanuman ji, private and also government! There is a ticket of Rs 15 and this Hanuman temple which is talking about is the last part of the air palace i.e. on the side of the road itself! The work of the metro is underway, due to which the Kitch was ravaged, but after a few months-this time it will look good and convenient as the muddy metro and we will also return and praise it! And yes, waiting for the bus, there will definitely be a pakodi eat, it makes a nice shop under the tree!

The lady conductor was in the bus, strange but not pleasant, seeing that women are gathering their feet in every field! This was the second time when I was looking at a woman as a bus conductor! Before this, a woman has seen the route of Meerut - Ghaziabad, is thick and does not rise from its seat to give ticket! But this Meerut is a contracted bus conductor and she is a female government employee with Jaipur! There is a difference between Meerut and Moharrama, who are married and I have been unmarried with Jaipur, although what should I take from this matter, I am already married and also the father of two "Satan" sons! You were misunderstood about me :-) Do not you? Nobody is there!

So come, come, Ammer! Come on but the rain is still happening! Got down and got into a cement umbrella, ran inside! Just take a little time to go in and read a bit of history! Aamer town, about 11 km from Jaipur, was built by the Meena people but Raja Man Singh ruled from 1550 to 1614 AD. Aamer's fort spread over an area of approximately 4 km has become the famous tourist center of Rajasthan in today's day, although it is expensive due to being a private property! When you enter this fort you will see a huge "Mawatta lake" on your left! In this fort "Diwan a mango", "Diwan A Khas", Sheesh Mahal, Jai Temple and Sukh Niwas are! A special arrangement has been made to bring cool air in the Hukam habitation, so that the king-sisters can get "happiness", hence the name of Aamer Fort is also called "Amer Palace"! Rajput King and his family were in this palace! Near the main entrance of the fort, "Ganesh Dwar" is the temple of Mata Silla Devi and the idol that is set in it was given to defeat King Raja Singh, Jessore (now in Bangla country), the King! Silla Devi is considered to be an avatar of black mother! The temple of Silla Devi is fine but its valves, meaning the doors are very beautiful!

The history and history will continue together! We are in Amer Fort, which is included in the list of UNESCO but the rain never joins any list, whether you include it or not! If it is to come then it will come, then it will go! I do not do any job from nine o'clock to five o'clock! And today, on 26th January, from the Rajpath of Delhi to Jaipur here only if anybody's rule is running, the rain is going on! Republic Day is being shown on TV, no Prime Minister or President of Abu Dhabi has come!

The main purpose of our arrival to Amer Fort was to ride an elephant, but due to the rain the elephants are not out today or they will be closed again! Those who came to see, who did not come, would not want to make money by taking tickets in such a fast rain! I will forgive this time because I mean from outside you can go for free and take photos, I can show the pictures of them!

Came out! At Kothari ji in Jaipur, Rajat Sharma had told about Amar Sagar and said that he must go there! There are not many people here, meaning there is a little hidden place! Let's go! Auto rental, for 150 rupees! Although not so far away and can walk comfortably but we did not even know and rain was also happening! It was built in the 17th century and at that time was the main source of water for the inhabitants of Jaigad and Ammer Fort. When you go this way, go see Kheri Gate's "unique museum", although on the day we went, it was January 26 and it was closed! Amar Sagar Lake is definitely but very dirty! We did not like to come here, everyone else has their own choice!
